Left the van at 9:08 thinking we were running late, only to arrive at the patch of sun near the crag only to find that the sun never hits the warmup routes at the east end of the grail wall at this time of year. Bummer!
so we did planned obsolescence and it was super cold on the fingers. After taking a warmup break in the sun, we did eminent domain. Then we hiked over to the north wall of red bud canyon. The warmup routes on the south wall were not in the sun yet, so we did little jack while waiting. after that, andreas did a route on the n wall in the sun (!!!) that isn't in the book, and apparently is a project on mountain project. He thought it was a 5.8 but it wasn't. I skipped it, and we did the tyrany of logic. Then i did sunshine acid, the real 5.7. The sun was going away, so we went around to mandate for the masses and excaliber.
End of day! We were the only people there except a couple hiking and two guys and a chick on a day trip.
